Pastor Appreciation Month: Readers Share How Pastors Have Made Impacts

What would we do without our pastors and church leaders? Our pastors are worthy of “respect and wholehearted love” (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, NLT) for the way that they shepherd, teach, equip, and build up our churches.

When I was given leadership of a Pastor Appreciation Month campaign, I proposed the idea to send a survey to Tyndale’s Reader Rewards (loyalty program) audience. We asked readers to describe how their pastors had made impacts on their lives, and they responded with 177 heart-felt stories, which inspired this word cloud design and blog article. I selected a few stories and wrote this article to honor and thank church leaders.

I wrote a total of 12 Bible verse blog posts for Tyndale.com with the goals of attracting new customers through search engine optimization, increasing Tyndale’s brand visibility, and delighting previous customers by providing content of value. The blog posts cover a broad range of topics chosen using a Google Trends analysis.

Gift Guides

I wrote and published a total of 18 SEO-optimized promotional landing pages to highlight gift ideas for specific audiences: military thrillers, resources for pastors, three back-to-school gift guides, and 13 gift guides on a variety of fiction tropes. I curated or assisted in curating several of these pages with the goal to attract and engage prospective customers. The top performing page generated an estimated 1,635 page views. I have had over two dozen pieces of writing published in magazines and online since 2019, including nine devotionals for teens on Unlocked and The Rebelution, an article on novel writing for Kingdom Pen, and an essay awarded second place in a contest by We ’73 The American Unity Project.
